Happy 13th Birthday Card for My Doctor Who Fan

We have an official teenager in the house as of this weekend!  Hard to believe my big guy is 13, but it's true!  To help celebrate the occasion, I wanted to create an extra-special card for him, and right now, he's big-time into Doctor Who.  So, I set to work to create a timey-wimey card, and here's how it turned out:

It took a bit of work to transform the telephone box stamp from the Feeling Sentimental set (from Sale-a-Bration a few years ago) into something resembling a TARDIS, but my fan was happy with how it turned out.   Not perfect, but at least close enough he got what I was going for and it made him smile!  Mission accomplished!

I created the 13 using the Large Numbers Framelits die, and the words are from the Number of Years stamp set.  I stamped them on a map design from the Going Places Designer Paper Stack, and the star chart background is also from that pack.  I sponged Whisper White on the star chart design, then a bit of Rich Razzleberry, and finished with stamping the circular/coffee stains-like image from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Whisper White to create a time travel trail for the TARDIS.  Here's another view of that:

For the inside, I used a strip of the star chart design along the bottom, and again altered that a bit with some sponging and stamping the image from Timeless Textures.  The "13" and sentiment are from the Number of Years set:

A fun card to create and give!  Hope you enjoyed seeing it, too.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

As a Dr.Who fan knew what you had done before I read your description! Love how you did the outer space sky. Thanks for sharing.
