August SUper Friends Swaps and More

Hello!  Apologies for the silence here on my blog!  Back to school has really kept me busy . . . in fact, I can't believe it has been more than a month since I last posted here!  Doesn't feel like it has been that long.  I've still been stamping during that time, and had a wonderful gathering with many of my SUper Friends demonstrator group last month!  We swapped at our gathering, and I'm very excited to show you the cards everyone created.  Our swap theme was CASE the Catalog, though original designs were welcome, too!  (For those who haven't heard the term "CASE" before, it is an acronym in the stamping world, which is short for "Copy and Share Everything").

Agnes, inspired by a South African safari this summer, created her fabulous card with the Animal Outing Bundle.  She also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Connie M.'s beautiful fall card was inspired by the design on the lower left corner of page 42 of the Holiday Catalog.  She used the Country Home stamp set, colored with Stampin' Blends, Country Lane Designer Series Paper, Chicken Wire Elements, and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Jana's design inspiration for her festive Dashing Deer card came from the banner on page 8 of the Holiday Catalog.  Jana also used the new Buffalo Check stamp setSoftly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stitched Labels Framelits (to create the doily on top of her banner!), and a touch of Burlap Ribbon

Jana finished the inside of her card with one of the smaller deer images from the set (apologies about the blurry photo!):

Judy-Ann's gorgeous card is created based on the sample with Cake Soiree on page 79 of the Annual Catalog.  Judy-Ann used the Sweet Cake Framelits to die cut the cake and cake stand, Watercolor  Pencils to color the frosted details on the cake, and the pretty leaves in the background are from the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Judy-Ann added a sweet little flower stamp from the Cake Soiree set inside her card:

Jen created her darling card with the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper:

She also dressed up the inside with some stamping:

Kallien created her stunning trifold card with the Bouquet Blooms Bundle, based on a sample from page 167 of the Annual Catalog:

Here's a peek inside:

Kate's sweet Daisy Delight card is inspired by a design on page 123 of the Annual Catalog:

And, she used a fun sponging technique to create an area for the message inside, along with a daisy from the stamp set (apologies again for the fuzzy photo!):

Margery created this adorable window card with the Best Bunny Bundle, Striped Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch:

Here's the card open:

And a close up on the sweet bunny backside:

Nancy's card features an abstract art background created with Brusho Crystal Color on Watercolor Paper:

Like Connie M., I drew my inspiration from page 42 of the Holiday Catalog, and created this fall card with the Country Home stamp set, colored with Stampin' Blends, and used the Chicken Wire Elements and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The fibers behind the focal image are separated strands of Burlap Ribbon.

I prepared a make and take for the gathering, with the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle.  We used the Thinlits die from the bundle to create the background of the card, using the Big Shot Embossing Mats.  The snowflake element was die cut using the same die and Glimmer Paper:

As if that isn't enough, I also have a couple bonus projects to share with you!

Jen gave me this wonderful treat box, made with the Takeout Treats Bundle from the Holiday Catalog:

Here's a closer look at the tag she created:

Hope you enjoyed these amazing projects and are inspired to create some of your own.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!!!
