Christmas Roses

Hello!  Hope you are having a great day!  Here is a closer view of the projects I made for our recent SUper Friends Handmade Item - White Elephant Style swap.  The first part was this altered framed chalkboard:

I drew the lettering and holly on the chalkboard, then added the roses and leaves.  The roses are made out of Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock, die cut with the Spiral Flowers Originals Die for the Big Shot.  The leaves are made out of Always Artichoke Card Stock, cut with the Festive Flower Builder Punch, and stamped in Mossy Meadow Classic ink using the coordinating images from the Reason for the Season stamp set.  Here are some close ups of the flowers and leaves:

The second part was a rolled roses wreath, which I made following Lis Ljung's wonderful video tutorial.  I changed the colors to Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla so they would be more Christmas-y and used Gold Cording Trim and Crochet Trim to embellish:

These were so fun to make!  I will be making more!!  Hope you'll give them a try, too -- be sure to visit my online store if you need any supplies.

Thanks so much for visiting!
