Shabby Shic Thank You for Inspiring Me

Today I have another card created with products from the upcoming Heart and Home Suite, which will be available starting in January!  For this one, I decided to create a shabby chic look to the card:

In addition to the items from the Heart and Home bundle, I also used one of the Encircled in Beauty Dies to create the intricate doily-like piece behind my stamped-and-then-colored-with-pastels flowers.  I used a bit of Linen Thread and some Classic Matte Dots to finish off the card front.  I finished the inside simply, with just a little bit of stamping in the corner.

Hope you like this card!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Super Friends Throwback Thursday: September Halloween Swap Cards

For our September swap, my SUper Friends group exchanged Halloween cards.  Since I did not get these posted in time for Halloween, but these are too good not to share, I figured a "Throwback Thursday" post would be in order!

Judy created her fabulous card with the Banner Year stamp set, Picture This dies, and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon

Cathy's sweetly spooky card features the Cat Punch, with some wonderfully glowing rhinestone eyes and a big die cut circle moon:

Kallien challenged herself to create a card with a "non-Halloween" stamp set, and I love how her card with the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set and Love You More Than Dies came together.  She also used the Stitched with Whimsy Dies to create the fun border on the outside of the card:

Agnes used elements from the Frights and Delights Paper Pumpkin kit (September 2018) to create her frighteningly fun card:

Margery's sweet card is a beautiful combination of the Layering Diorama Dies, Stitched Greenery Die, Evergreen Forest Folder, and fox from the Count on Me set:

My card is a step-style fun-fold with the Clever Cats stamp set.  The aurora-ish night sky was created using pastels on the Basic black card stock, and I die cut the moon from the In Color Shimmer Vellum (two pieces layered together, using Tombo Multi).  A scattering of rhinestone "stars" and a twitching tail (made by attaching it with a brad) for the cat behind the pumpkin, finish off the card.

This was a super fun swap!  Thanks to the SUper Friends for these amazing cards!!!  Interested in joining my team for one of these?  Please contact me for more details!

Blessings of Home Thank You

Hi!  Hope you are having a great day!  Today's card is another one I've created with the Heart and Home Suite of products that will be available in the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog!

The card base is Cinnamon Cider, and I layer two designs from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper in the background.  I stamped the flowers from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink and then colored them with watercolor pencils before die cutting with the Flowers of Home dies.  The greeting is stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink as well.  I finished with some of the Classic Matte Dots.

Can you tell I'm loving this new set?  How about you?  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!  What colors would you choose to color these flowers?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

OnStage at Home Heart and Home Cards

This past weekend, I attended a fabulous virtual Stampin' Up! convention called OnStage@Home, and I wanted to share with you the samples I created during the "Stamp and Share" part of the event.   One of my favorite presenters at such events, Shannon West, led us in creating three cards with a sneak peek suite of products called "Heart and Home."  (These products will be available to customers in early January, and demonstrators who did not attend OnStage may be able to preorder them in early December).   Here are how those cards turned out for me:

I had cut enough pieces to make a second card of the "Together" and "Birthday" cards, and decided to alter those cards ever so slightly.  For the "Birthday" card, I loved Shannon's technique of coloring the image by using daubers, but thought it would be fun to use a bit more color and to try out the blender brushes instead.  Here's how that version turned out:

Then, for the "Together" card, I decided I wanted to show off more of the beautiful designer series paper layer, so I die cut the stamped image.  I also watercolored the stamped image very carefully using an aquapainter and ink refills (Garden Green, Fresh Freshia and Pale Papaya).

I had so much fun creating these!  I've made a few more cards with this suite as well, which I hope to share with you soon!  Stayed tuned!  And, if you'd like a copy of the January-June Mini Catalog in which this suite will appear, please let me know!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

SUper Friends Sunday: August Swap Cards and Fun

Happy Sunday!  I'm back again with some more amazing cards from my SUper Friends group!  For our August card swap, we challenged ourselves to CASE (stampers lingo for copying, which I believe stands for something like Copy and Share Everything!) a card from a current Stampin' Up! Catalog and use fall colors.

Margery created this delightfully adorable card using the bear from the Count on Me stamp set, and altering the card layout from page 82 of the Annual Catalog.  Margery changed not only the colors, but the background, using a trio of bright colors cut with the Layering Diorama dies

For her elegant fall card, Cathy selected some of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for the background, and used three die cut leaves, which are similar to the Intricate Leaves Dies from the July-December Mini Catalog:

Judy-Ann created her gorgeous card with the Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle, and drew her inspiration from the card on page 69 of the July-December Mini Catalog:

Judy-Ann also included this adorable bonus card made with the Turtle Friends Bundle:

Kallien selected a card on page 98 of the Annual Catalog as her inspiration for her beautiful creation featuring the Color and Contour Bundle

For my card, I took inspiration from a card on page 63 of the July-December Mini Catalog, but used the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set along with the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper:

Kallien also made some yummy treats for our outdoor gathering and had them wonderfully packaged, with an adorable tag created with the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set:

And, I used the Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, and Pretty Pillow Box Dies to whip up these little treat boxes:

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!  Hope you enjoyed the inspiration here!  If you'd be interested in joining my SUper Friends gatherings or swaps, please contact me for more information.  And, if you'd like to purchase any of the products used, please follow the links provided to my online store or contact me!

Happy Stamping!

SUper Friends Saturday: Manly March Swap

Hi again!  Still catching up on our SUper Friends swaps, and this time I have creations we made for our Manly March swap to share with you!    It was fun to see the great ideas for masculine cards in this swap!

Kallien used the Whiskey Business set to create her fun fold card:

Cathy used an intricate die cut with a nautical theme and Sail Away designer series paper:

Judy-Ann's dapper creation combines the Plaid Builder dies, Handsomely Suited stamp set, and Suit and Tie Dies:

Agnes went for a rugged, outdoorsy look, which uses the Mountain Air stamp set:

Margery decked out her card in some fabulous formal wear using the Handsomely Suited stamp set and Suit and Tie Dies:

My card also features the Handsomely Suited stamp set and Suit and Tie Dies (don't you love the versatility of this set of stamps and dies?!!!), but I opted for a more casual look using two different designs from the Well Suited Designer Series Paper:

Thanks so much to the SUper Friends for the excellent masculine card ideas!  And, thanks so much to you for visiting my blog!  Hope you found these cards inspiring!
