Watermelon Wonder Cards

Since it is the last day of Sale-a-Bration, and I had some rainy day crafting time this afternoon, I finally inked up my Watermelon Wonder stamps!  I decided to stamp up a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" sheet of Basic White and then cut it to use on two cards.  I inked up the watermelon and leaf images in Garden Green and Melon Mambo, with Memento Tuxedo Black for seeds.  I heat embossed the greetings ("Enjoy the Moment" is from the Sale-a-Bration Heartfelt Hellos set and "thank you" is from the Something Fancy set).

These were pretty quick and fun to make!  Hope you are able to enjoy some creativity, too!

2 Projects for the Final 2 Days of Sale-a-Bration!

The final 2 days of Sale-a-Bration 2024 are here--Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow, February 29th!  Guess we got a bonus day this year with leap year, so that's pretty neat!!!!

Today, I have 2 projects to share with you, each made with designer series paper from Sale-a-Bration.  These were created specially for a private class for two friends last week!

The first is a rocker card made with the Sunny Days Sale-a-Bration Paper.  I love how bright and happy this paper is!

The card base is Pool Party, cut with the Deckled Circles Dies, which I also used to cut the striped Pool Party designer series paper layer and the floral designer series paper layer.  The Garden Green layer is cut with the Everyday Details Dies.  I added some flowers cut from Basic White with the Sentimental Park dies, and those flowers have Champagne Irridescent Dots in their centers.  The greeting is from the Timeless Arrangements Bundle, and I used more stamps from that for the inside of the card as well:

The second projects are purses made with the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I added flowers cut with the Paper Florist Dies where the handles meet the purse.

Please let me know if you have any questions about these projects or would like to place a Sale-a-Bration order before it is too late!

Personalized Sunny Day Tags for Fun Fold Class

Sunday was my Fun Fold Class, and I decided to create a little something special for each person to hold her cards and instruction sheets and carry them home.

I had some cute little brown handled bags, and I decorated them with personalized tags.

The main circle for the tag is cut out of Pool Party with the Everyday Details Dies.  The  cloud behind each name is cut from Basic White with the Basic Borders Dies.  The little flowers are cut from Basic White with the Sentimental Park dies, and have a dot of Gold Enamel Effects in the center.  The letters are cut out of the Sale-a-Bration Sunny Days Paper with the Mini Alphabet Dies.  I tied the tags onto the bags with Lemon Lolly Baker's Twine and Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon (another Sale-a-Bration item).

Merry Monday: Trio of Joy of Christmas Cards

Merry Monday!  Today I have a trio of cards made with the Joy of Christmas Suite to share with you.  For each of these cards, I used watercolor pencils to color the berry and greenery images.

For the next card, I stamped the images to create a wreath:

And, for the final card, I used foil and peek thru dies to add some extra festive sparkle and shine:

Please let me know if you have any questions about these cards!

Detailed Dogwood for the Creative Challenge (Part 2!)

Yesterday, I showed you my "THIS" card for Stampin' Up's February Creative Challenge.  Today, I have my THAT cards to share with you!  For the "THAT" challenge, the colors are Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia.  I decided to make a one-sheet wonder collage style sheet and then cut that apart to create four cards for THAT challenge!  I used the Sale-a-Bration set Detailed Dogwood for the stamping on the one sheet wonder.

Then, to finish the cards, I used flowers created with the Petal Park stamp set and coordinating punch.  Greetings are from the Something FancyThoughtful Expressions, and Botanical Layers stamp sets.

Here are the four cards together:

Here are closer views of each card:

The layers on this one are cut with the Deckled Rectangles dies, and the greeting with the Everyday Details Dies.

The next card uses the frame left from cutting out the focal piece for the first card.  Layered behind that is a piece of Basic White with some Fresh Freesia ink blended on it before running it through the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder:

The next two cards have some background layers embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder:

Which is your favorite of these cards?  And, will you play along with the This or That Challenge?  If so, which color combo will you choose?  Or, will you do both, like me?

Thoughtful Expressions Trio

Happy Thursday!  I have a trio of cards to share with you today that I created with the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle.   The focal image of the hummingbird on each card is similar, but I chose different colors for the background layers and flowers around the butterfly and slightly different layouts for each of the cards.  Here they all are together:

And, here are some close ups and details about each of the cards:

For this card, I selected a Pool Party piece from the Sale-a-Bration Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper for the background.  I added a coordinating Pool Party mat to my stamped piece, which has images stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Stampin' Blends.  Layered between the background designer series paper and the focal image is a piece of Sale-a-Bration Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon (I love this so much, I've already used a whole roll of it!!!)  The greeting is made with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder (outline brayered in Memento Tuxedo Black, and then bottoms of letters colored with a Pool Party Stampin' Blend).  To finish it off, I added gems to the flower centers and around the greeting.

Here's a closer view of the hummingbird and greeting:

The next card is actually on a Soft Sea Foam Card Stock base.   I layered an embossed piece of Basic White, from which I had cut a window with one of the Thoughtful Expressions dies, on top of the base with dimensionals.  I had used the Layered Florals 3d Embossing Folder to add texture to the Basic White piece after I had cut the die cut window from it.  I then layered the die cut hummingbird and flower images into that window, and spilling out and down the card front around the greeting.  The greeting is embossed in white on a die cut piece of Garden Green Card Stock.  Again, I finished the card with gems in the flower centers and around the greeting:

Here's a closer view of the hummingbird and flowers:

The final card of this trio has a Basic White card base with a piece of Bubble Bath card stock layered on top of it.  I layered on a strip of Garden Green and then added the Basic White piece that i had stamped, colored and cut with one of the Deckled Rectangles Dies.  The greeting is from the Sale-a-Bration Softly Sophisticated Bundle.  Again, I finished the card with some gems in the flower centers:

Here's the closer view of this hummingbird:

I finished the insides of the cards simply, with some stamped flower images:

Which of these cards do you like best?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Hope you are having a sweet day!

I have some Valentine's projects to share with you today.  First are some treats that I made.  These are CASED from Heather Klump (hlkdownstairsdesigns.com).  These little pillow boxes and the papers and stamps I used to decorate them are from the Bee Mine Suite and the beautiful Pool Party ribbon is a Sale-a-Bration choice:

I also made these tags to decorate some boxes of chocolates I picked up at Trader Joe's:

I've also been playing some more with felt embroidery and used the Adoring Hearts dies to create these little felt tags/ornaments:

I also made one using one of these hearts sewn onto circles cut with the Everyday Details Dies.  I love these dies because they have convenient build in die cut holes for stitching around the edge!

I embroidered sequins all over the heart as well before stitching the circles together.

Hope you liked these projects!  Please let me know if you have any questions about them.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
