New Catalog Party -- Easy Peasy Magnolia Lane Cards!

Hi!  At Sunday's New Catalog Party, this was one of our make and takes -- note cards made with the Magnolia Lane Card Bundle from the Experience Creativity Catalog.    I love that the Memories and More cards included with this bundle are so beautiful that all it takes is a sentiment and adhering them to one of the card bases from the bundle (leaves plenty of time to add a quick stamp inside and on the envelope, too):

Here's another design:

Beautiful Friendship In Color -- New Catalog Party Make and Take Sneak Peek

Happy Thursday!  I'm looking forward to the New Catalog Party this Sunday, and have a sneak peek to share of one of the make and takes we'll be creating.  Here it is:

This card uses three of the new In Colors (Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Pretty Peacock), two new stamp sets (Birch Background and Beautiful Friendship), and a new die set (Detailed Bands Dies, also available as part of a bundle and save).  I made a fun discovery with the Beautiful Friendship stamps that I look forward to sharing with those who can make it on Sunday!  (If you are in the area and haven't RSVP'd yet, please do soon . . . as of right now, I do still have a couple of spaces left!)

Something else that I've been working on is a major cleanup of my current and retired stamping supplies.  Here's how my living room looked during the height of the sorting and organizing activity:

Yikes, right!?!!  Happy to report that I've gotten that all under control again -- and have boxes of retired stamps, dies, and more just about ready to go to a local crafters' flea market.  Please let me know if you are interested in taking a look at these before I send them off!

Izzy got in on the action, too, finding a box that fit her:

Merry Monday: Pretty Packages

Merry Monday!!!  I have some pretty packages to share with you today.

First is a package that I wrapped in designer paper and decorated with some pretty ribbons, a wire embellishment and tag to send some surprise goodies off in a holiday swap with my friend Marlene:

Here are some Mini Pizza Boxes that Marlene stamped, embellished and filled with goodies for my family and me:

Marlene also decorated one of the large tins that were available in the Holiday Catalog and filled that with goodies for us:

Here is a fun and festive nugget holder created and beautifully packaged by Marlene:

And, last but not least, here is an ornament created by Marlene from a candy tin:

It opens to reveal these festive scenes:

Fabulous Friends Friday: 3D Projects from Marlene!

Happy Friday!  I'm taking a break from a major clean up project of my crafting supplies to post some fun 3D projects I received from my fabulous, talented, and very creative friend Marlene in our most recent swap!

First up is this brown paper package wrapped up in string (well, actually Pressed Petals Washi tape and Burlap Ribbon and a wonderful tag made with Gallery Grunge Stamps):

And when that layer is opened it reveals a mini shipping box Marlene decorated perfectly to resemble a shipping box from Stampin' Up! and filled with M&M's -- so actually a few of my favorite things:

Pretty fun, right?!!!

The second is this beautiful box that Marlene created with the Parcels and Petals Bundle and Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Paper:

With some yummy dehydrated strawberries tucked inside for a sweet treat:

And, last but not least, Marlene sent this wonderful package, starting with a label cut with the Stitched Nested Label Dies and stamped with images from the Geared Up Garage stamp set:

That opened to reveal this adorable truck, made with the Ride with Me Bundle, and carrying some sweets (and with a few more tucked underneath!):

So much fun!!!  Love the details Marlene included on the truck as well, from the ridges in the bedliner, to the sparkle on the windows, headlight and grill, and the perfect license plate!

Thanks, Marlene, for sharing your amazing art with us!

And, thank you for visiting my blog!  Hope you are inspired to go create a fun 3D item!  If you would like to purchase supplies used in creating the projects above, you can follow the embedded links to see the items in my online store (or simply click here).

You're Off to Great Places Card

Today's card is one I created for a recent swap with my friend Marlene.  The challenge was to create a moving card and I decided to create a Pop-Up Diorama card (I followed this excellent tutorial by Natalie Lapakko aka Stampwitch), using new In Colors and the new Above the Clouds bundle:

I also created a coordinating envelope from Rococo Rose card stock:

I actually used two types of new Ribbon on this project -- the Rococo Rose Scalloped Ribbon is pretty easy to spot, but the little tuft of ribbon that resembles a sand bag on the Purple Posy balloon peeking out onto the left side of the interior of the card is actually trimmed from the awesome and versatile Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim.

Sentimental Rose Meets New In Colors

Happy Tuesday!  I have a quick card share for you today -- this is a card I created using new three of the new 2019-2021 In Colors (Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, and Pretty Peacock) along with stamps from the April 2019 Sentimental Rose Paper Pumpkin kit:

I did some ink blending on Whisper White for the focal piece of the card (this is -- finally -- the card I made using the "life-changing brushes" that the fabulous Judy-Ann introduced us to at our May SUper Friends Gathering)

The same technique was used to create a coordinating envelope:

And, a layer for inside the card:

June SUper Friends Gathering Make and Takes

At our June SUper Friends Gathering, in addition to our card swap (you can follow the link to see those, if you haven't already), we also made a couple of cards.

First, we made a mini notecard (3"x3") using the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and a wash of three colors in the background, with some stamped images from the Sailing Home Bundle.  The greeting was stamped on a vellum die cut and the ship colored with Stampin' Blends.   Here are a few variations I made:

The card base is one of the new In Colors, Pretty Peacock.

The second card we created used a background technique with the Stampin' Blends inspired by these gorgeous cards by Artisan Emma Goddard.  Images from the May 2019 Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin kit were stamped repeatedly on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock cut to layer on one of the Whisper White Note Cards.  We then colored around the images with Stampin' Blends and I like adding a bit of So Saffron in the flower centers as well.  The greetings are on Stitched Nested Labels Dies and are decorated with fussy cut flowers from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set (also available in a bundle with the Stitched Nested Labels dies here).   Here are a few samples I made with this technique:

Hope you like these!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

SUper Friends Saturday: SUper Friends June Swap

Happy Saturday!  Today I have some amazing cards to share that were created by my SUper Friends for a swap at our June gathering.  Each of these cards uses products from the new 2019-2020 Stampin Up! Catalog.

Judy-Ann created this beautiful, summery card with some background ink blending and images from the Friend Like You Bundle:

Judy-Ann stamped some dragonflies inside as well:

Margery's elegant card features a background and greeting created with the A Little Lace Bundle and beautiful flower from the To a Wild Rose Bundle:

Nancy used the Love What You Do stamp set along with an ink block stamping technique to create her clean and simple beauty:

Jana's card features the Free as a Bird stamp set, expertly colored, and accented with Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins:

Connie M.'s gorgeous creation showcases stamps, paper and a trinket from the Come Sail Away Suite

Connie also created a matching insert for inside her card:

Agnes's lovely card features a focal image from the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, which she embossed on vellum, and then colored on the reverse side using Stampin' Blends:

I used the Seaside Notions stamp set and Tasteful Textures Bundle to create my card, which was inspired by a card on page 135 of the new Catalog:

Here's a close up so you can see more of the sparkle of the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter:

Hope you enjoyed these cards!  Stay tuned -- coming soon I'll share photos of our make and take projects from the gathering!

Thanks so much to my SUper Friends for sharing these wonderful cards!  And, thank you so much for visiting my blog!
