SUper Friends Saturday: Projects from our May Gathering

Happy Saturday!   At this month's SUper Friends Gathering, we met at Judy-Ann's house, and she shared some amazing tips, samples and projects with us.

Here are some of the cards Judy-Ann shared with us that she has created recently.  First are a couple of gorgeous diagonal split cards:

Judy also has been experimenting with the floating frame technique:

And, has been creating cards with some sneak peek products that demonstrators have been able to purchase from the upcoming 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog:

Judy-Ann shared the secret with us for how she created the beautiful blending on the "dream big" cow card in the bottom right of the photo -- some "life-changing" brushes, and we had fun trying those out with the new 2019-2021 In Colors!  (I'm still finishing off a project with that and hope to show you soon).

Judy also shared with us a tip of using an old credit card or gift card to move some of the ink to the side of an overly-inky ink pad to get a better image with the new Distinktive stamps.   The image on the left is stamped with the less inky pad, and on the right is from the same ink pad before the ink was moved:

Judy also taught us to make a Mini Miura Fold Card, using instructions she had adapted from Rachel Tessman's instructions here.  Judy designed a card for us to create using the fabulous new stamps, dies, designer paper and ribbon from the Magnolia Suite.  Here is how my card turned out:

And, here's the card open:

Isn't that a cool fold!?!!  I really love the new products from the Magnolia Suite, too!  How about you?

Jana also brought supplies and helped us create this beautiful card, based on a sample in a recent Stampin' Up! newsletter for demonstrators, and which uses some more sneak peek products (from the Bird Ballad Suite and the A Little Lace Bundle):

As you can tell, a very fun gathering!  Hope you find the projects and ideas as inspiring as I did!  And, a big thanks to Judy-Ann and Jana for sharing them with us!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
