SUper Friends March Swap -- 3 x 3 Artwork!

Happy Monday!  I have some fun artwork to share with you today!  At the March gathering of my SUper Friends demonstrator group, we decided to do a "shoebox swap" of 3 x 3" artwork (thanks to Connie S. for the suggestion and to Patty Bennett's Luv 2 Stamp Group and Julie Davison and Kim Peck for their inspiring samples!)  In a shoebox swap, each participant designs a sample and brings that plus the ingredients for everyone to make one of her own.  So, we had eight fun mini projects to make when we got together!  We decided to use the colors from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, and to have a theme of flowers for our art.

Here are each of the individual cards (with apologies because I've recently had to switch to a new camera, and I haven't quite figured out how to do macro shots with it, so it was having trouble focusing properly on some, well, actually most . . .  of these!)

Aren't these wonderful!?!!  Although it could be fun to use these as focal points on cards, I decided to create a framed work of art with these.  I attached them to a piece of the paper from the Birthday Bouquet paper, layered them on Whisper White for some added contrast, and added a ninth card in the center, which has a die cut butterfly, created with the Butterfly Thinlets Dies:

Very happy with how this turned out!!!  Creating these was so fun, I think it's something we'll want to do again!

Margery also made some fun treats to share:

These are made from a strip of card stock, punched on either end with the Ornate Tag Topper punch, and then with two score lines, one on either side of the middle.  Then, a window with the oval punch to show off the treat inside!

Thanks so much for visiting!
