Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  I have some spooky fun cards to share with you today from our September Halloween SUper Friends swap!

Judy created a fabulous slimline easel card using the Bewitching Bundle (don't miss her fabulous splatter background either!):

Margery's spirited pop up easel card is full of fun details and surprises, including the clever use of the Layering Diorama dies to create the background behind her ghoulish gourds (made with the Vintage Bottle Punch):

My flip flap fun fold card is made with the Spooky Cute Bundle, and was inspired by this card by kitchentablestamper:

Agnes transformed elements from a Paper Pumpkin kit into her delightfully spooky card:

Jaya's magnificently haunting card features some excellent fussy cut main images and a wonderful splattered background:

Thanks so much to the SUper Friends for these wonderful cards!

And, thanks so much to you for visiting!  Hope you are having a fun Halloween!

Warm Welcome for a StoryBook Gnome!

Happy Wednesday!  Today I have a card that I prepared as an alternative sample for the Warm Welcome Bundle for World Card Making Day.   This was fun to make!  In addition to the Warm Welcome bundle, I used the Storybook Gnome designer series paper, fussy cutting the gnome from one of the sheets and using a snowy background paper for the other side of the door:

I colored the door with Stampin' Blends and added one of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots for the door knob.

Lots of creative combinations and possibilities with the Warm Welcome set!

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!

Two Stamp Sets Instead of One?

While preparing for our World Card Making Day party, I wanted to try my hand at creating a version of the Cottage Rose card without using the Cottage Rose bundle.  Here is the card we created with the Cottage Rose set during the World Card Making Day event:

I perused my sets and thought the two that looked like they might work best to create a close alternative version would be the Hand Penned Petals and Shaded Summer sets and the Penned Flowers Dies.  Here is how my card turned out:

It was a fun experiment, though I think I still like the Cottage Rose design better.  How about you -- which card do you like better?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Happy Stamping!

Happy World Card Making Day 2022!

Hi!  Happy World Card Making Day!  I enjoyed being able to celebrate with friends yesterday.  My friend Connie and I hosted a gathering on my back patio, and it was so fun to visit with friends, stamp together, and watch the Stampin' Up! presentations (including a sneak peek of the Fitting Florets Suite from the January-June catalog, which will be available to order as part of a customer special in November, and which demonstrators will be able to pre order this month!)  Here are some photos from our gathering:

If you would like to see the video presentation we watched and check out the three projects Stampin' Up! designed for us to create together, you can do that here:  https://events.stampinup.com/worldcardmakingday/video  (The video and resources will be available through October 18th).

Here are the three cards we created:

This card uses the Warm Welcome Bundle, which is a set pre-released from the upcoming January-June Catalog.  I love the shading technique we did with Mint Macaron and Fresh Freesia inks and Blending Brushes.

I think this card with the Cottage Rose Bundle may be my favorite of the three cards.  It is just so soft and pretty, and I really love the different layers of stamping and die cuts!

For the third card, I didn't have the Cottage Wreaths bundle (yet), so had to substitute a retired die set and used the Forever Fern stamp set with it.  The watercolor wash technique we used to create the wreath was great fun -- and everyone's came out so different and so beautiful!  For example, Margery and Connie mixed in some Flirty Flamingo with the Old Olive washes on their wreath pieces with some really beautiful results!

Stay tuned this week as I'll be sharing some alternate ideas made with these products and card layouts!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Stamping!

P.S.  Some fun news from the event -- on October 4th, Stampin' Up! will have free shipping on orders of $75 or more.  And, from October 4th-31st, there will be a "boosted" and discounted starter kit for those who join as demonstrators -- please let me know if you'd like more information about that!
