SUper Friends Saturday: Fall/Halloween and Thanksgiving Swaps

Happy Saturday!  I have a wonderful assortment of cards to share with you today -- at long last!!!  I've actually had these cards for a couple months, from our SUper Friends September and October swaps!  However, it has taken me a while to learn how to use a new device and some new watermarking software, which is why I have been a bit quiet on my blog the past few months.   Anyway, these cards are so amazing, I think you'll agree with me, that it is better late than never to share them!!!   Also, because I am still learning my new device and haven't quite figured out how to rearrange pictures, I apologize because there isn't a whole lot of rhyme or reason to the order in which I am sharing these!

Cathy joined us for the first time for our Thanksgiving swap, and here is her beautiful fall card, created with the Gather Together stamp set:

Shawna chose the Harvest Hello stamp set, Apple Builder Punch, and Perfectly Plaid designer series paper for her fabulously country chic card:

Jana artfully watercolored a fall scene for her stunning gatefold card, which also features birch images from the Winter Woods stamp set and the Buffalo Check Background stamp:

For the Halloween swap, Margery created this awesome window card using the Garden Gateway Dies, Stacked Stone Background and Have a Hoot Bundle:

For the Thanksgiving swap, Margery chose the Rooted in Nature stamp set and Nature Roots Dies to create her elegant card (look closely at the card front, and you will see leaves embossed in the Very Vanilla layer, as well as the gleam from the foil layer under it):

Judy-Ann's Halloween card artfully showcases elements from the Hallows Night Magic Bundle on a slimline card (hard to capture in a photo, but this card has a lot of magical shimmer in real life -- the bats are cut from Black Foil, the "lace" is cut from Black Glitter Paper, there are beautiful Iridescent Pearls, and there is a layer of the gorgeous Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind the elements):

For her Thanksgiving card, Judy-Ann created this beauty with the Recessed Panel Technique, Love of Leaves Bundle, and Perfectly Plaid Designer Series Paper:

For her Thanksgiving card, Kallien created this gorgeous slimline card using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle and Old World Paper 3D embossing folder:

Kallien created her terrific Halloween Card with the Double Triangle Fold technique, and I like how she used the spider web embossing folder on one side, and for the other, made her own designer paper by repeatedly stamping spiders in coordinating colors on Whisper White Cardstock:

For the September fall/Halloween swap, I created this double gate fold card, featuring the Love of Leaves Bundle and Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper:

For the interior panel, I stamped images from the Life Is Beautiful stamp set (I used the "thumping" technique of inking up the stamp and then tapping different colors of Stampin' Write Markers onto the stamp before applying it to paper):

Nancy cleverly used vellum to layer the two parts of her card's greeting on top of each other:

Lifting the vellum layer more fully reveals the beautiful watercoloring on the "FALL" part of the card:

For her other card, Nancy created a chic slimline card, featuring three beautiful flowers created with the Daisy punch:

For my Thanksgiving card, I again used the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper, but this time, paired it with the Arrange a Wreath Bundle:

For her Thanksgiving card, Shawna created this elegant trifold slimline card, featuring the Vintage Leaves stamps:

For one of our swaps, Judy-Ann made these fabulous treat boxes using elements from the Hello Pumpkin Paper Pumpkin kit and the Little Treats Box dies:

For her Thanksgiving swap card, Agnes created this lovely card using elements from the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin kit:

Thanks so much to the SUper Friends for these gorgeous cards and projects!!!  I have another set of swap cards to share with you from out December swap . . . so please stay tuned for that.  We're also looking forward to swapping again soon!  Always so fun and inspiring to see the designs everyone creates!

Would you like to join us?  If so, please contact me for more information.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Rooted in Nature Fancy Fold Card and Gift Box

Hi!  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!  Today, I have a couple cards and a gift box to share with you that I created with the Rooted in Nature stamp set and Nature's Roots Dies.

These cards are both z-folds (created by scoring the front of the card base in half, folding it back and then attaching another layer or more on top).  I created my own designer paper for these by stamping the wonderful leaf images from Rooted in Nature in different fall shades (Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron).  I also die cut and embossed some leaves from Copper Foil and added some Copper Thread for an accent behind the greeting, which is cut with one of the Stitched Ovals.

To make this gift box take shape, I did a bit of scoring, cutting, and gluing.  Before assembly, I stamped leaves on the box lid -- it's made of Rich Razzleberry card stock, and I used the same color of classic ink, for a subtle tone-on-tone look.  The box base is Pumpkin Pie, and I made a "belly band" for the box out of Blackberry Bliss and some fun burlap ribbon (now retired, though one of the new Scalloped Linen Ribbons would be a great substitute).  I created a mini card out of Sahara Sand for the tag.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

SUper Friends October Halloween Treats and Card Swap

Hi again!  Today I am back with some more fabulous projects created by my SUper Friends demonstrator group.  These projects are from our October swap, which had a fall and Halloween card or treat theme!

First up, the cards!

Connie M.'s splendid autumn card is made with the Rooted in Nature Bundle:

For her beautiful autumn card, Nancy did a faux baby wipe technique with the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set:

Agnes created this adorably spooky Halloween card, using elements from the September Frights and Delights Paper Pumpkin kit (refills still available here at the time I'm writing this post):

And now, on to the treats!!!

To create her sweet pumpkin jar treat holder, Kallien used the Everyday Jars Framelits dies, leaves from the Stitched Seasons Framelits, and embossed an image from the Stitched Labels Framelits dies:

Judy-Ann dressed up a gable box in fantastically spooktacular style, with lots of sponging, a fence and tree from the Farmhouse Framelits, and bats and stamping from the Spooky Sweets Bundle:

Jana also used the Spooky Sweets Bundle, along with the Takeout Thinlits Dies, and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon for her delightful treat box:

That beautiful Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon made another appearance on Connie S.'s fabulously folded treat box, along with a pretty Black Foil cat (love those green rhinestone eyes!):

Margery created a treat box with the Takeout Thinlits Dies, decorated with fun elements from the Warm Hearted Stamp Set, Cauldron Bubble Bundle, Seasonal Tags Framelits, and Seasonal Chums Stamp Set:

I created a combination luminary and treat box using the Window Box Thinlits and Still Night Bundle:

I found some fun color-changing battery operated tealights to use in these as well.  Have a video of the lights changing through the owl window that I will try to share here soon.

Hope you enjoyed these projects!

Thanks for visiting!
