Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Here are a few more Easter cards (had hoped to post these before Easter, but alas March went much faster than expected!!! Can you believe it's already April?!) Anyway, first up in this parade of cards is a beauty I received in my last swap with my amazing and talented friend Marlene Caravello:
I believe she used the Ovals Collection Framelits to create this shaped card, along with patterned paper from Parker's Patterns. The egg is embellished with Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, ribbon from the Sycamore Street Sale-a-Bration Ribbon and Button pack, dyed Flower Trim, a cute little tag made with the Jewelry Tag punch and the bunny from the Itty Bitties stamp set, and hard to see in the photo but there is a layer of Irridescent Ice adding some beautiful sparkle to the egg!
Here's the inside:
The "happy easter" stamp is from Delightful Dozen, the bunny is from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set, and they are on a piece of Whisper White punched with the Extra-Large Oval Punch and sponged with Not Quite Navy. Marlene used the Chevron embossing folder on the front panel of the card base for some fun added texture.
The next card is one I created as a sample for a recent workshop. It is a trifold-style card, with a window in it created using the Ovals Collection Framelits. I used the Everybunny stamp set and coordinating Every Egg wheel on it:
The card is held closed with Pool Party ribbon from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack (from Sale-a-Bration. I also added a rose from the Flower Trim, with some Primrose Petals sponged on the edge. I used the Bird punch to create the leaves for my rose. Here's a close up of the Flower trim embellishment:
And, here is the card opened:
The next set of cards are an expanded and stepped-up version of this "ears to you" card I showed you in this post:
Exciting news is that the "ears to you" stamp set and other single stamps have been so popular, their availability has been extended until July 31, 2013! So, if you didn't get your ears to you! stamp, you are not too late.
Here is the card with a Pretty in Pink base and Primrose Petals flowers (created with the Boho Blossoms punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and Bird Punch):
Here is the card with a Pink Pirouette base and Primrose Petals flowers:
The card in Pool Party with Calypso Coral flowers:
And, last but not least, the card in Wisteria Wonder with So Saffron flowers:
Finally, I decided to experiment with a combination of embossing powders and the Ears to You stamp set, and here's how that turned out:
I used Pool Party, Melon Mambo, and Tangerine Tango embossing powders with Versamark Ink to create this colorful card. I cut out the image using Ovals Framelits, and layered on a piece of Melon Mambo cut with the next size larger Oval Framelit. Here's a close up:
The card base is Pool Party, and is embellished with a strip of Whisper White die cut with one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits. The flower and leaves were created out of Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade card stock with the Boho Blossom, Itty Bitty Shapes, and Bird Punches. A Pumpkin Pie brad from the 3/16" Bright Brads collection holds the flower together:
Hope you enjoyed the parade! I'd love to hear from you -- please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite!
