The first card we created was in their school colors, and I designed the sample as a card that could be used to wish them good luck at their National Competition coming up this month:
The red glimmer paper is cut with the Sunburst Thinlits Die, then images from the Sunburst Greetings set and Perpetual Birthday calendar are stamped on the Scalloped Circle punch. To finish off with even more sparkle and shine, sequins from the Metallics Sequins assortment are glued on the background and around the greeting.
The second card is a fun Valentine's card, combining soft Pink Pirouette with a fresh and funky combo of Melon Mambo, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral:
There's a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper on this one, plus two small glimmer paper hearts cut with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Pack. The stamped images are from the Bloomin' Love Photopolymer set, stamped in Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Calypso Coral. The three large hearts are cut with the Sweetheart Punch, and the Pink Pirouette layer behind them was trimmed with the Project Life corner rounder punch before being embossed with the Happy Hearts Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I also prepared thank you gifts for our hostess and the team's coaches. I used bags from the In the Bag Paper Pumpkin kit, which I dressed up with some Real Red Pom Pom trim (from the Holiday Catalog) and a heart-shaped tag, punched with the Sweetheart Punch and stamped with an open heart image from the Hello Life kit and the "thank you" from the What I Love set from Sale-a-Bration (which you can actually see peeking out from under this bag). The tag is clipped onto the bag with a mini clothespin and some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.
And, here's what was inside the bag:
A heart shaped wreath in the team colors. I created the roses for this using the Spiral Flower Bigs Die. The leaves are made using the Festive Flower Builder Punch and Reason for the Season stamp set (available as a bundle).
What do you think? Which is your favorite of these projects?
Thanks so much for visiting!
