Hi! Happy World Card Making Day! Hope you are finding some time to celebrate by creating a card or two or more!!! I did a little creating this morning, and hope to help one of my boys finish up a project for school, in which he has created 70 cards to give to patients at a local hospital. He has the cards filled out and a layer of designer paper attached, but needs to add some greetings and embellishments. That's my kind of project! ;)
Speaking of which, I have a card to share with you today, too! This is one I created this summer for a swap with my friend Marlene. For this, I decided to try out some techniques with embossing paste and ink up my Climbing Orchid Bundle stamps! Here's how my card turned out:
The background is a design from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, and I applied embossing paste that I'd tinted with Fresh Fig ink refill onto that using the brick design from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.
I also used embossing paste on the vase (a circle die cut from a Gold Foil sheet), but this time through a mask I created using the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies and some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter sprinkled onto the paste:
The orchids are stamped in Powder Pink and Fresh Fig for the blooms, with a bit of Peekaboo Peach in the centers, and the leaves are Tranquil Tide.
I created an orchid for the outside of the envelope as well:
And decorated the envelope's back flap with a design from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper and a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
