August SUper Friends Swaps and More

Hello!  Apologies for the silence here on my blog!  Back to school has really kept me busy . . . in fact, I can't believe it has been more than a month since I last posted here!  Doesn't feel like it has been that long.  I've still been stamping during that time, and had a wonderful gathering with many of my SUper Friends demonstrator group last month!  We swapped at our gathering, and I'm very excited to show you the cards everyone created.  Our swap theme was CASE the Catalog, though original designs were welcome, too!  (For those who haven't heard the term "CASE" before, it is an acronym in the stamping world, which is short for "Copy and Share Everything").

Agnes, inspired by a South African safari this summer, created her fabulous card with the Animal Outing Bundle.  She also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Connie M.'s beautiful fall card was inspired by the design on the lower left corner of page 42 of the Holiday Catalog.  She used the Country Home stamp set, colored with Stampin' Blends, Country Lane Designer Series Paper, Chicken Wire Elements, and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Jana's design inspiration for her festive Dashing Deer card came from the banner on page 8 of the Holiday Catalog.  Jana also used the new Buffalo Check stamp setSoftly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stitched Labels Framelits (to create the doily on top of her banner!), and a touch of Burlap Ribbon

Jana finished the inside of her card with one of the smaller deer images from the set (apologies about the blurry photo!):

Judy-Ann's gorgeous card is created based on the sample with Cake Soiree on page 79 of the Annual Catalog.  Judy-Ann used the Sweet Cake Framelits to die cut the cake and cake stand, Watercolor  Pencils to color the frosted details on the cake, and the pretty leaves in the background are from the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Judy-Ann added a sweet little flower stamp from the Cake Soiree set inside her card:

Jen created her darling card with the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper:

She also dressed up the inside with some stamping:

Kallien created her stunning trifold card with the Bouquet Blooms Bundle, based on a sample from page 167 of the Annual Catalog:

Here's a peek inside:

Kate's sweet Daisy Delight card is inspired by a design on page 123 of the Annual Catalog:

And, she used a fun sponging technique to create an area for the message inside, along with a daisy from the stamp set (apologies again for the fuzzy photo!):

Margery created this adorable window card with the Best Bunny Bundle, Striped Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch:

Here's the card open:

And a close up on the sweet bunny backside:

Nancy's card features an abstract art background created with Brusho Crystal Color on Watercolor Paper:

Like Connie M., I drew my inspiration from page 42 of the Holiday Catalog, and created this fall card with the Country Home stamp set, colored with Stampin' Blends, and used the Chicken Wire Elements and Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The fibers behind the focal image are separated strands of Burlap Ribbon.

I prepared a make and take for the gathering, with the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle.  We used the Thinlits die from the bundle to create the background of the card, using the Big Shot Embossing Mats.  The snowflake element was die cut using the same die and Glimmer Paper:

As if that isn't enough, I also have a couple bonus projects to share with you!

Jen gave me this wonderful treat box, made with the Takeout Treats Bundle from the Holiday Catalog:

Here's a closer look at the tag she created:

Hope you enjoyed these amazing projects and are inspired to create some of your own.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!!!

Today I have a fun wreath to share with you that I created using the 2017-2019 In Colorsthe Daisy Delight Bundle, and Paper Pumpkin (April 2016 Lovely Little Wreath kit is the base for these wreaths)!  I actually made two of these wreaths -- one for my most recent swap with Marlene and another to be the door prize at my New Catalog Open House this Sunday!

The ribbon is the Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon.  The daisy centers were stamped with a combination of Daffodil Delight and Peekaboo Peach.

Happy Birthday Daisies

Happy Tuesday!  Quick post today to share a fun birthday card I created with the new Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating punch (which has been wildly popular and consequently hard to catch in stock!):

The "Happy Birthday" is actually a negative, left when I die cut the words out of the Berry Burst layer.  I carefully glued the little center pieces of the letters back in, and used the die cut words on another project (stay tuned for that!)

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Daisy Delight stamp set
Ink:  Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink
Paper:  Whisper White, Berry Burst, and Lemon Lime Twist
Accessories:  Daisy punch, Happy Birthday Thinlits Die, Gold Faceted Gem

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

SUper Friends May Gathering Projects

Hi!  Hope you are having a great weekend!!  The SUper Friends had our May Gathering this week, and that means I have some fabulous projects to share with you!

Our swap theme was try something new, which was open for each person to interpret whether that would mean a new stamp set, new technique, new layout . . . though most of us went for new stamp sets since demonstrators have been able to preorder this month from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, which will be released in June!

On to the cards:

Margery created this gorgeous card, which offers a sneak peek of the Daisy Punch, coordinating Daisy Delight Stamp set, and Gold Faceted Gem (in the daisy's center), paired with the Fluttering Textured Impressions Embossing Folder background:

Connie M.'s stunning card is created with the retiring Special Reason stamp set and coordinating dies (already sold out!).  Don't you love the elegant color combo?!

Connie also brought each of us a special sheet with ideas for color combinations with the new In Colors!

Jana created this beautiful card with the Colorful Seasons bundle, and some of the new In Colors (I spy Berry Burst, Powder Pink, and Lemon Lime Twist).  Jana's sponging of the circular background to the card really is a perfect touch!

Agnes, drawing inspiration from the hostess tea favors here, created these sweet, tea-filled baskets, using the Window Box Thinlits Dies and the retiring Succulent dies (don't miss out, these are on sale, while supplies last here!):

Connie S.'s elegant topiary card, features the Vertical Greeting Stamp Set, along with the thumping technique.  The embossed lines around the topiary add a beautiful touch, as does the Petal Burst embossing on the Soft Suede layer.

Nancy created this Impressionistic masterpiece by smooshing ink onto her cardstock with a plastic bag.  She challenged us to finish the card with whatever sentiment or embellishments we wish.  It will be fun to see what everyone does with these!

Judy-Ann's elegant creation also features the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating punch, with a crisp and modern color combo, and a beautiful clear Faceted Gem in her daisy's center:

And, my card also shows off the new Daisy Delight stamp set and punch, along with the Eastern Palace Designer Specialty Paper (available as part of this month's special in either the Starter Bundle or the Premier Bundle):

And, I used stamps from the Daisy Delight set to finish the inside of my card as well:

As a hostess gift, I had created two baskets using the Wood Crate die, and filled those with some homemade chocolate chip cookies:

We also made these baskets as make and takes at the meeting.  The baskets are die cut using the new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  The doilies on the sides are 2015-17 In Color Doilies, with the color side glued toward the box (the doilies are retiring and available at a discount, while supplies last!)

Thanks so much to my SUper Friends for sharing their amazing artwork and to you for visiting my blog!  Please leave me a comment and let me know which of the sneak peek items you've seen here you are most excited about!
