Humble Home Fall and Halloween Treat Boxes

These are the little treat boxes I made for last Saturday's open house with the Humble Home Bundle.  They were so fun to make!  The fall boxes are made with Basic Beige, with the bricks stamped in Cajun Craze, and windows and doors stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.   The Halloween boxes are made with Smoky Slate, with the windows and doors stamped in Tuxedo Black on Daffodil Delight Card stock, and spiders and bats from a past Paper Pumpkin kit also stamped in Tuxedo Black.

I filled them with chocolates, then wrapped it up in a cello bag and tied it all up with a bit of linen thread!

Here's the link to the Facebook Live if you'd like to see how I made these!

Reindeer Fun Christmas Card

Here's a full reveal of the other card we made at our Open House on Saturday!  For this card, we used the Reindeer Fun Bundle with some traditional Christmas colors.

The belly and tail of the deer were colored with a white watercolor pencil, and we added a bit of color in the ears with Flirty Flamingo watercolor pencil as well.

The bell is stamped on Gold Mercury Vellum with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored with Real Red Stampin' Blends.  This didn't go smoothly at the open house as for some reason, the ink went straight to the back of the vellum!  I thought maybe I'd used Black Stazon for my sample, but checked when I returned home and my Black Stazon is still awaiting reinking, so couldn't have been that!  Not quite sure why that was happening -- only other thing I can think is that the lighting was brighter at the open house than in my stamping space at home, and that made the ink soaking to the back more obvious?  Anyone have any other ideas?

Humble Home Gingerbread House Tag

Today's Open House with Connie and Michelle project reveal is the tag I designed with the Humble Home Bundle.

The tag and snow layer were cut with the Greetings of the Seasons Dies.  The greeting and house were stamped in Pecan Pie ink.  After punching out the house, we colored that and the heart with watercolor pencils.  We actually ended up finishing up with some of the Real Red and White Baker's Twine plus some white snowflake embellishments, which I got after I'd photographed my samples.  I have an assembly video up on Facebook and Instagram, and you can see the white snowflakes in that!

Assembly Video for Connie's Splendid Autumn Card

Hi again!  In my last post, I mentioned I'd created a video of myself assembling the card kit Connie gave me for her card at our open house!  Well, it turns out that video is a little too big for me to upload directly here, but I can share a link so you can view it on my Facebook business page!  Here is the link.  Please let me know if that doesn't work, and I'll work on figuring out a different way to share it!

Connie's Splendid Autumn Cards

Today I'm sharing the stunning cards Connie created for our Open House on Saturday with the Splendid Autumn Suite Collection, plus daisies cut from the Cheerful Daisies Dies.  Connie had three different designs for attendees to choose from.

I finally had a chance to put together my kit today (and made a video of myself doing that, which I will share shortly), but one thing I was excited to learn is that the frame die in the Autumn Expressions Dies cuts pieces that will layer on each other!  Not sure why I hadn't picked up on that before!  Luckily, Connie had figured that out already!  :)

Also, you'll see in the video that Connie ended up stamping the center strip of designer paper with the Sketched Plaid Background Stamp
