Fabulous Friends Friday: February SUper Friends Swap!

Happy Friday!!!  Very excited to share with you the latest creations from my SUper Friends demonstrator group.  We had our February gathering and swap on Monday.  Jana also came prepared with a very fun project using shrink plastic, which she had stamped and die cut with the Custom Tee Bundle, then colored with the Watercolor Pencils.  We added our names with an alcohol-based marker, then Jana shrunk the t-shirt for us to create adorable scissor charms:

Here's mine before shrinking:

Here they all are after shrinking:

Thanks so much for a great project, Jana!!!

Our swap theme this month was "crafter's choice" -- pretty much meaning each person could create whatever type of card she wanted!  (Or I guess you could say we didn't really have a theme! ;)  ).

Agnes created the wonderful cards from the Many Happy Birthday February 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit (at this time, there are still refill kits available, if you'd like to make some of your own!  Here's the link to the refill kits in my online store.)

Connie M. used the Happy Celebrations stamp set and Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this fun card -- I love how the dots give almost a bokeh impression and the "happy" is debossed!

Jana created a sweet z-fold, featuring an ice cream truck created with the Sale-a-bration Tasty Trucks stamps on the front panel as well as beautiful paper from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper:

The card opens to reveal some ice cream created with the Cool Treats Bundle as well as more of the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper:

Jane created this gorgeous easel card with gift holder and matching envelope, using the Floral Phrases Bundle (and coordinating Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap)

A Rhinestone Jewel holds the artwork in place when the card is open easel-style:

Here's a closer view of the stamped artwork:

And, here's the gift card holder tucked neatly inside the card:

Judy created a beautiful bookcase on her card, featuring the Bookcase Builder stamp set:

If you guessed that Judy used the window from the Hearth & Home Thinlits to create the nice detailed shape along the bottom of her bookshelf, you guessed correctly!

Judy also gave us this gloriously clean and simple note card, inspired by Kylie Bertucci's creation here.  I especially like the way Judy's red layer adds some "pop" to her version:

Margery's card cleverly combines the Sale-a-bration Tasty Trucks stamps with some images from the Basket Bunch stamp set:

And, here's the inside:

Nancy served up a birthday ice cream card, made with the  Cool Treats Bundle and Decorative Dots embossing folder for the background:

For my card, I decided to create an Easter Twisted Gate Fold Card.  I followed Dawn Olchefske's excellent tutorial, which you can find here.

The marbled paper on the front was created using the Shaving Cream Technique and Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum reinkers.  To create the faux sugared egg, I used a combination of Layering Ovals dies and an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies.

The bunny, bow, grass, and stamped images are from the Basket Bunch Bundle.  The little leaves on the egg were trimmed from the die cut Basket Bunch grass, while the little Sweet Sugarplum flowers came from the Detailed Floral Thinlits.

Hope you enjoyed all these projects!  Thanks so much, SUper Friends, for letting me share your amazing artwork, and thank you for visiting my blog!!!
