I have been working on creating some birdhouse treat boxes, following directions from Brenda Quintana (here's the link if you'd like to check those out and see the wonderful In Color boxes she created!). Here is the first box I made:
This one started with the Basic Beige base. I added some of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, stamped for the front of the box and scalloped eaves. I also die cut a piece of Basic Beige and Early Espresso to add to the roof on the front. The roof is a piece of Early Espresso that has been embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. There is some matching designer series paper on the sides of the box.
I used stamps and dies from the Country Birdhouse and Country Flowers Bundles to add birds (one stamped in reverse with the help of my new Glass Mat!) and flowers, which I colored with Stampin' Blends. I was thinking about bluebirds as I colored these, though the colors I picked are a fair bit brighter than actual bluebirds would be -- using a bit of artistic license there! I made the perch 3D using 2 stacked cork rounds. Flower centers have dots of Gold Enamel Effects for a little extra dimension.
I have some more of these to share with you soon! Please stay tuned.
