Time to Celebrate the New Catalog - Sneak Peek of Make and Takes for Sunday's Party!

Happy Friday!!  I have a special treat for you today -- a sneak peek of the make and takes for this Sunday's New Catalog Party!  Hope you'll be able to join me if you are in the Bay Area!  (You can find out more information about this and other upcoming events here).

For the first card, I wanted to design something appropriate for 4th of July, that also shows off two new In Colors (Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel).  Here's what I came up with:

I used a few new stamp sets to create this effect -- Bokeh Dots, Enjoy Life, Itty Bitty Greetings, and Varied Vases.  It also seemed like a good opportunity to add some Night of Navy Gingham ribbon.

The die cut for the greeting above and the greetings for my samples for the second make and take come from Stitched Labels Framelits!  The second make and take is a simple note card, featuring one of my favorite designs from the Share What You Love Designer Specialty Paper, paired with coordinating greetings and images from the Love What You Do stamp set:

I embellished the cards with a bit of twine from the Nature's Twine Pack.

Which is your favorite design?  Hope you like these and will come join me to make your own this Sunday!

Cheers to Time for Tea Bundle!

Hi!  Today, I have a couple cards to share that I made with the Time for Tea Bundle and the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  Here's a photo as I was designing the cards:

I started by embossing a die from the Delicate Lace Edgelits onto a Tranquil Tide card base.  The Big Shot Embossing Mats make this so easy to do!

I found the designer paper in the background as I was cleaning out my stamping supplies -- it is from a retired kit, and I thought it coordinated so well with the Time for Tea images, I just had to use it!

Here's how the cards turned out:

And, here's a closer look at the embossing on each card:

Hope you like these!  I'm looking forward to creating more cards with the  Time for Tea Bundle and the Delicate Lace Edgelits!  How about you?

Thanks for visiting!

Varied Vases Thanks!

Happy Wednesday!  Sharing a fun thank you card today that I made with some of my favorite new products from the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! Catalog:

The card base is Whisper White Thick Card Stock, with a layer of the new Granny Apple Green on top of that.  The strip at the bottom is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It actually has some stitches along the top of it, created using a die from the Stitched Label Framelits, which is also what I used to cut the fancy white label behind the flowers and vase and the piece for the greeting.  The flowers and vase were created with the Varied Vases Photopolymer Bundle.  Flowers are Lovely Lipstick, and vase is Gorgeous Grape.  Here's a closer view:

Pearls on the vase are from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearl set.  I added a drop of fine tip glue in the flower center for a bit of dimension there.  Bow is Whisper White and Basic Black Baker's Twine (retired).

SUper Friends New Catalog Clean and Simple Swap Cards

Hi!  School is out now, and some of my SUper Friends group and I were able to gather last week for a fabulous time of catching up, talking about the new Stampin' Up! catalog, and swapping!  Our theme for this swap was clean and simple cards using products in the new catalog.

Connie M. created her gorgeous card using the Love What You Do stamp set, Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon, and Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Nancy also chose products from the Share What You Love Suite for her beautiful creation.  She used the  Love What You Do stamp setShare What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, along with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Connie S. created this stunning note card, using the Crafting Forever Stamp Set, with the pen images colored with Stampin' Blends:

Connie S. also created a bonus Twist Gate Fold card, using the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper:

Margery's sweet creation is made with the Bubble Over stamp set and coordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelits:

Margery also created this magical Bridge Fold Card, using the Magical Day stamp set and Silver Embossing Paste with the brick design from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks

Agnes created this perfectly-timed masculine card using the Apron of Love stamp set and coordinating Apron Builder Framelits:

I decided to create a card with the Rooted in Nature Bundle:

The focal image tree is first stamped in Mint Macaron, then branches were colored with a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker and darker foliage was added to the tree with some swipes of a Tranquil Tide Stampin' Write Marker.  Here's a close up of that:

I've been playing around with the new embossing mats, so used one of the dies from the bundle to emboss a piece of Mint Macaron for the inside of the card:

I also created some "bonus" cards with some artsy pieces I'd made using Kim Jolley's Not Your Mother's Shaving Cream Technique and the Crafting Forever Stamp Set, colored with Stampin' Blends:

Hope you enjoyed these creations!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
