SUper Friends Pinterest-Inspired Card Swap

This month, my SUper Friends demonstrator group decided to create cards for our swap that were inspired by cards we had pinned to our Pinterest boards.  I showed you my card for the swap yesterday, and today, I have the cards from my SUper Friends to share with you.

First up is Connie's stunning fall card (you can see her Pinterest card inspiration board here):

Connie inked each leaf in multiple colors before stamping.  Then, she inked up in Versamark to stamp again and emboss gold around the edges!

Here's the inside of her card:

Judy-Ann also created a gorgeous fall card, and you can see her Pinterest cards board here, and the card by Michelle Last that inspired Judy-Ann's creation in this pin:

Here's the inside of Judy-Ann's card:

Now, on to some holiday cards!  Jana decided to recreate this dazzling card by Rochelle Blok (you can see Jana's Holiday Catalog Pinterest board here):

I love the layering of the Winter Wonderland Embellishments on the Snowflake Element!  And, I love how Jana used the Christmas Greetings Thinlits die with the Red Foil paper to create her greeting.

Here's a close up of the sparkly designer paper (Jana embossed the ornament design from Home for Christmas with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder -- such a gorgeous effect!) -- really sparkly in person!

Fanny created this elegant holiday greeting, inspired by this pin of a card by Sylvia Shires:

The photo doesn't do justice to the sparkle of the glimmer paper on the stars!

Here's Nancy gorgeous card with the Wondrous Wreath set, inspired by this pin of a card created by Cat Craig:

The embossing on this card is so beautiful, and I love the sparkle on the berries!

Margery created this adorable card with the Snow Place stamp set:

So many fun details on this one!  Especially love the sparkle on the falling snow and how Margery colored the snow people with some pool party to add dimension!

Agnes treated us to these beautiful alternate ideas using the June 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, Happy Thoughts:

Thanks so much to my SUper Friends for sharing their talent and beautiful artwork!!!

And, thank you so much for stopping by!

Woodland Pumpkins: My Card for Our SUper Friends Pinterest Challenge Swap

This month my SUper Friends demonstrator group decided to challenge ourselves to create a card from our Pinterest boards for our swap.  I decided to recreate the card from this pin -- the card is by Georgeann Manning of Stamping Everything, and you can see her original blog post about her card here.  I stayed very close to Georgie's design with my card:

Inking up the Woodland Embossing Folder with Pool Party before embossing really turns out beautifully!  And, I love the pumpkins!   I used five 1" circles for my larger pumpkin and three 3/4" circles for the smaller ones.  The stem is a piece of Crumb Cake, which I colored with an Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker.  The leaves were created out of Old Olive card stock with the Bird Builder Punch.

I did add a layer of Whisper White in between the embossed piece and the Pool Party card base.  I also used an Early Espresso marker to color in the indentations on the bark of the trees, which I think makes them look even more like birch trees or aspens.

I decided to use the "thankful for you" greeting from the Sheltering Tree stamp set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie for the greeting.  The Whisper White greeting piece is punched on either end with the Washi Label Punch.  I used an orange permanent marker to color a White Perfect Accent to coordinate with the greeting and pumpkins.  Here's a close up of that:

Stay tuned to see the other beautiful cards created by my SUper Friends!

Marlene's Wickedly Sweet Paper Pumpkin Treat

Hi, everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  New weekly deals are up, and you can see those here (I think my favorite this week is the Bow Builder Punch -- how about you?).  Also, don't forget that stamp sets (other than host and rotary) are 15% off right now until October 23rd -- you can see those online here!

Today was a happy mail day for me -- my October Paper Pumpkin arrived!  I'm so excited to ink up the stamps from this kit!!!  I won't say more in case your kit hasn't arrived yet, but will keep my fingers crossed for you that your kit will appear in your mailbox soon (although only crossed figuratively because otherwise it is really hard to stamp!)

Speaking of Paper Pumpkins, I have this fabulous project to share with you from my amazingly talented friend Marlene Caravello.  She stepped up her project with some sponging, extra ribbons, and a strip leftover from punching out the striped tags.  Here's how it turned out (all wrapped up and unwrapped):

Love it!  Have more projects from Marlene to share soon, too!  Stay tuned . . .

Thanks for visiting!

Stepped Up Lighthearted Leaves Card

Happy Monday!  We loved waking up this morning to discover that we'd gotten some rain overnight, and my little guy and I even got to see a rainbow this morning before he headed off to school!  It finally is feeling like fall here in Northern California!

First, I have to share some exciting news -- this week, only until Friday, Stampin' Up! has stamps on sale -- 15% off!!!  This rarely happens, and is a great opportunity to get the stamps you have been wanting at an amazing price!

(Please note that the 15% off does not apply to rotary stamps, host stamps, or bundles (which are already 15% off anyway)).  You can shop online through my website at www.michellevanwiggeren.stampinup.net, or call or email me to place your order!

Now onto today's project!  I thought today is a good day to share a fun fall card.  I made this card for a monthly Wow! Swap I participate in, and you might find it a little familiar -- it is a stepped up version of this card.

I also managed to take photos of the card as I was stepping it up, although I apologize because the lighting in these is not so great:

Don't forget, if you are finding the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set as irresistible as I am, you can get it on sale until Friday!!!

Hope you are having a wonderful fall day!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
