Cake Soiree Gate Fold Card for Spring Card Class!

Hi!  Happy Thursday!  Here is another of the cards we'll be making at this Sunday's Spring Card Class.  The idea to create a cake with ombre layers came from this Facebook post featuring cards by Artisan Jennifer Frost.   Except I decided to go with a fun off-center gate fold card, a color combo of Berry Burst, Pink Pirouette, and silver, and the Cake Soiree Bundle

The cake has a bit of silver "frosting" created with Silver Embossing Paste and the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks.  The fun texture behind the cake is shreds from the Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon!  I also used the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies and Petal Pair Textured Impressions Folder.

Lots of Happy Cards!

At my Spring Card Class this Sunday, everyone will be able to make one of the cards from the Lots of Happy Card Kit.  I love this kit!  While I love the vellum leaves and pretty background papers, probably my favorite part of this kit is coloring the wonderful line art images.  I found that I didn't even need to use a Blender Pen -- I love the intensity and shading of just the watercolor pencils alone!  I've created at least one of each of the designs in the kit so far.  Here's how they've turned out:

The "thank you" and "happy birthday" on the smaller cards are greetings from the Southern Serenade Stamp Set.  I'm looking forward to making more of these and trying some other colors on the cards as well!

Which is your favorite of these designs?  Want to order your own kit?  You can do that in my online store here.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Fabulous Friends Friday: SUper Friends February CASE a Catalog Swap

Hi!  Happy Friday!!!  Today I have some fabulous creations to share with you from our recent SUper Friends gathering and CASE ("Copy and Share Everything") a Catalog swap, where we each chose a favorite spring card from one of the current Stampin' Up! Catalogs to recreate.

Judy-Ann's bright and cheery card is  inspired by a card on page 33 of the Occasions Catalog, made with the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle:

Judy-Ann also brought everyone these beautifully packaged Valentine's goodies:

Her tag has a gold-embossed, die-cut heart, created with the  Heart Happiness stamp set and Sweet and Sassy Framelits Dies:

Margery chose to recreate the elegant card with the Climbing Orchid Bundle from page 21 of the Annual Catalog:

Margery also brought everyone these adorable red envelopes she created for this Chinese New Year, which is the year of the dog:

Connie M. selected this wonderful masculine design from page 44 of the Occasions Catalog, which uses the Truly Tailored Stamp Set and Tailored Tag Punch, plus the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper and Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon:

Connie S. created this delightful card made with the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, inspired by a card on page 171 of the Annual Catalog:

Don't you love how she finished the inside of her card as well?

For her card, Agnes recreated this sweet card from page 20 of the Annual Catalog, with the Bike Ride Bundle:

Nancy's fun, sassy, and tech-savvy creation is based on one of the Text Ya Later cards from page 61 of the Annual Catalog:

For my card, I decided to use the Cake Soiree bundle recreate my favorite card, from the cover of the Occasions Catalog:

(The sequins are from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment in the Annual Catalog, in case you missed those like I did!).

I also created some sweet Valentine's treats for everyone, using my January Paper Pumpkin kit and the Party Pandas (Sale-a-Bration):

Hearts and Flowers Thank You

Hi!  Happy Monday!  Have a quick card share for you today!  This card features the flower filled heart from the Heart Happiness set, heat embossed with gold powder, and colored with Stampin' Blends:

The background paper and polka dot strip under the "Thank You" are from the Petal Garden Memories and More pack.  The "Thank You" is from the Petal Palette stamp set, and is also embossed in gold.  The coral ribbon is from the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer Ribbon pack.

I love that the Heart Happiness set can be used for Valentine's and more!

Magical Unicorn Card

Happy Saturday!  Today, I have another card to share with you that features a background made with Brusho Crystal Colour.  For this card, I wanted to create a rainbow effect, so spritzed watercolor paper with water, then sprinkled on the different Brusho powders in "rainbow order," and spritzed again.  Here's how that turned out:

The unicorn is created with the Magical Day Bundle, and I colored the mane, horn, and tail with Stampin' Blends.  The background paper is from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Pack, with a strip of Foil Frenzy Specialty paper layered on that, as well as a piece of the Myths and Magic Specialty Washi Tape.  The ribbon is Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.

Here's the inside of the card:

And, I also created a coordinating envelope:

Hope you are having a wonderful, crafty Saturday!  Thanks for visiting my blog!

Party Panda Thank Yous

Hi!  Today I have cards to share with you made using the Party Pandas Stamp Set (a Sale-a-Bration item!)  The backgrounds were created using Brusho Crystal Color on Thick Whisper White, and I colored the balloons with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack.

For the first couple cards, I used the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper (another Sale-a-Bration choice) for the background:

After I created the second card, I decided to go back and add a strip of the Myths and Magic Specialty Washi Tape to the card.  I also used that and designer series paper strips to finish the inside and envelope as well:

For the second set of cards, I decided to use the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (retired) because I liked how it coordinated with the color in these Brusho backgrounds:

I also added some star sequins (leftover from creating the Color Me Happy Project kit) around the pandas.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
