For All Things Card

This Sunday was my Holiday Catalog Open House, and it was a fun time of chatting and stamping with the friends who were able to come!  The make and take was this card, which I CASED from Stampin' Success, our demonstrator magazine:

The card is relatively straightforward to create, using the For All Things stamp set and the Color Me Autumn Washi Tape.    The card base is Very Vanilla, leaves are stamped in Blackberry Bliss, "hello" in Crushed Curry, and one change I made is that the watercolor background image is stamped in Crumb Cake (didn't have the Sahara Sand ink pad -- may have to fix that during the Stamp, Stock & Save promotion, which starts tomorrow!!!  Stay tuned for more details!)   Another change is that I used a Regals Button (rather than a Gold Button), with the Linen Thread bow.  Probably my favorite part of this card is the Blackberry Bliss spatters, which we made by loading the tip of an Aqua Painter with Blackberry Bliss ink, then tapping the Aqua Painter against a finger while holding it over the card.  The splash zone for this technique was surprisingly large!  :)  Anyway, here's a close up so you can see some of the splatters a little better:

In addition to the make and take, we had refreshments and displays.  Here are some photos of those:

Flower Patch thx

Hi!  Happy Saturday!  It has been a day o' soccer here . . . both my boys had games and team photos today!  Nice to be able to spend time with friends during that, though.

Anyway, busy prepping for my open house tomorrow, but wanted to be sure to pop in and share a couple cards.  These were from my Catalog Favorites class this summer -- here is the card we made in class, which is "CASED" from the sample on the bottom of page 155 of the 2014-15 Annual Catalog.  I decided to create a card instead of a journal, use Crumb Cake instead of Kraft card stock, add some layers, and use my die cut "thx" from the Circle Card Thinlits for the greeting:

I also created this alternate sample, changing up the color scheme:

This is a Lost Lagoon card base.  Flowers are stamped in Blackberry Bliss, a happy accident of So Saffron combined with stamped off Blackberry Bliss, and Crisp Cantaloupe with Calypso Coral.

Which do you like best?  Please leave me a comment below to let me know -- always enjoy hearing from you!

SUper Friends Summer Projects

My SUper Friends demonstrator group will be meeting (and swapping!) again soon, and I realized I haven't shared the projects yet from our last gathering, which was probably back in July!  Better late than never, right?!

We did a shoebox swap (that's where each person brings the ingredients to make a card or project, and then we each use those to assemble each of the projects that everyone has brought).  So, here they are:

Jana brought the A Little Sumthin' Sumthin' kit and stamp set, so we could make these adorable gift boxes:

Nancy designed this fun and elegant birthday card for us to create, using Sassy Salutations and Petite Petals:

Cheryl's beautiful design cleverly showcases the Work of Art stamp set:

Agnes had us playing with Blendabilities and the Great Outdoors stamp set to create her cool, camping themed card:

And, I've been on a real flip card kick for the past couple months (have you noticed?), and so, brought supplies for everyone to create this design with the Circle Card Thinlits and Flower Shop set (also from a workshop around that time, so if it looks familiar to you, you may have seen it here before! ;)  ):

Thanks so much for visiting!

Just a Little Something . . . tag by Marlene

Hi!  Happy Monday!  Today's project is a fun tag and goodies (chocolate!!!) I received from my amazing and talented friend Marlene as a bonus in our last swap:

Marlene used the Num-Num stamp set, plus Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss Ribbon and one of the adorable new In Color Clothespins!  I think this is super-sweet.  Don't you agree?

Thanks for visiting!
