Sale-a-Bration Finale!

 Hi Friends!

It's officially the last day of Sale-a-Bration 2023!  To celebrate, I thought I'd share some projects that I enjoyed creating with friends using some of the fabulous Sale-a-Bration designer papers.

Jana, Judy and I were crafting together and decided to challenge ourselves to each create something with the Favored Flowers designer paper.  Here are our cards:

Then, on Sunday afternoon, my SUper Friends had our monthly gathering, and one of the projects we created was a fancy fold card (I've seen this one called either a faux step card or an easy center step card), using the Sale-a-Bration Day at the Farm designer paper.  Here are the cards we created:

And, here is my original plus a couple more I created after the gathering:

Hope you are inspired by these to create some cards of your own!  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think or if you have any questions!  Would be happy to hear from you.

Sale-a-Bration Favorites!

 Hi Friends!

I can't believe Sale-a-Bration 2023 is almost over!  February 28th is the last day, and this has been a really fun Sale-a-Bration!  I thought as we wrap this one up, it would be fun to take today and tomorrow to share some of my favorite projects using this year's Sale-a-Bration stamps and papers.  So, here we go!

My top two favorite stamp sets of Sale-a-Bration were the Adorable Owls Stamp Set and Beautifully Happy Stamp Set.  I received the Beautifully Happy stamp set in my box from Stampin' Up! at OnStage in 2022, and one of the first projects I made with it was a make and take for one of our SUper Friends meetings.  Here are a couple versions of that card:

All of the cards have a Thick Whisper White Card Stock base, a layer of Parakeet Party card stock stamped with either the Hand Drawn Dots background stamp or in the bottom image the Decorative Borders stamp set.  The frames are die cut using the dies from the Framed Florets bundle.

Here is another card I created with the Beautifully Happy set:

For this card, I also used the Dandy Designs Sale-a-Bration paper and the Beautiful Shapes Dies.  The embellishments were leftovers from the Saying Thanks Kit.

One of my first projects with the Adorable Owls was a tag for the open house Connie and I hosted in January.  Here are a couple versons of that project:

For these tags, the Adorable Owls were colored with Watercolor Pencils (without using water to blend).  The tags were die cut with the Something Fancy Dies, and the pretty bits of designer paper are from the Fancy Flora Designer Papers.  Die cut hearts were made with dies from the Share a Milkshake dies.  And, the little hearts are Heart Pearls that were colored with Stampin' Blends.

I also had fun creating some birthday cards with the Adorable Owls.  For the first one, I again colored the owls with watercolor pencils.  The balloon and greeting images are from the Friendly Gnomes set.   The background is created with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and it is a little difficult to see in the photos but I added a bit more texture with the Timber 3D embossing folder.

I made a similar card with the Dandy Designs Sale-a-Bration paper and Picture This dies.  This time, the owls were colored with Stampin' Blends:

I've already shown you a couple projects with the Dandy Designs Papers, but that's not the only Sale-a-Bration designer paper on my favorites list -- actually all the paper is!

I love the Dainty Flowers paper, and it is so fun that it has a coordinating bundle that will continue to be available even after Sale-a-Bration!  Here are a couple of my favorite cards combining the designer paper, stamps and dies:

I love that the paper itself is so beautiful you can make quick and easy cards with it, but it is also great fun to add stamps and dies and layers to make something even fancier as well!

This post is getting very long, and I do have more to share in another post, but before I wrap up this one, wanted to share one of my favorite projects with the Favored Flowers Designer Series paper.  This project used flowers I fussy cut from the paper to dress up some of the beautiful Heart Boxes available as an add-on to the January Paper Pumpkin kit (still available as of the time this post is written).

Hope you enjoyed all these projects!  If there are any Sale-a-Bration products you would like before February 28th, you can visit my online store by following this link.
