A Little Christmas in July?

I'm having so much fun with the June Paper Pumpkin kit (as you may have already figured out, if you read my blog regularly!)  After creating my Pinwheel Wreath, I had quite a few straws left over, and they somehow reminded me of some spokes I've seen on trendy mirrors, so I decided to create a small straw wreath that could be either a Fourth of July decoration or a Christmas decoration.  Here's how it turned out:

I added two Red Glimmer Paper Circles (cut with Circle Framelits), one to the front, one to the back.  And, the stars are from the November 2013 Noel Paper Pumpkin kit (have been saving those for something special, and this seemed like just the project!). The hanger is a piece of 1/8" Silver Ribbon.

If you don't already have these supplies in your stash, Paper Pumpkin subscribers can get refill kits with the star garland and straws from the currently available past kits, and if you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, what are you waiting for?  Head on over to my Paper Pumpkin page today and sign up so you won't miss out on any more of these exclusive stamp kits!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Calling All Heroes!

I met with my SUper Friends demonstrator group today and had great fun stamping with them!  While we were stamping, the new Calling All Heroes set came up, and since I'm thinking about it, decided to share with you some of the cards I've created with it so far!

First is a card that my 11 year old and I made for one of his friends.  My son decided to draw in the face for his super hero, as well as add some heroic "sound effects":

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I stamped the "The Adventures of" . . . that didn't come out quite the way I'd envisioned!  The "Birthday Boy" part thankfully turned out much better.  My son was happy with the card, though, and hopefully his friend liked it and at least knew we'd cared enough to create something one of a kind for him!  :)

Here's the inside:

The next card I created for a swap with my amazing friend Marlene.

And, here's another, simpler version of the card:

(The star embellishment was made by punching the small star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punches out of a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper and then die cutting around it with the smallest of the Star Framelits.)

Hello You, Flip Card!

I had great fun introducing (and reintroducing) a great group of gals to the world of stamping at a friend's workshop last night!  We created variations of this card, which I designed with my friend Martha (you can see some of her beautiful work on her blog here):

Flip cards are so much fun to make, and so easy with the Circle Card Thinlits Die!  We used Lullaby Designer Series Paper (part of the buy 3 get 1 free special this month!).  The stamps are from Flower Shop and Endless Birthday wishes.

Hope you are having a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!
