Paper Pumpkin One Great Year in Cards!

Whoops!  Didn't mean to take a blog-cation there!  Has been a busy couple weeks of stampin' events with Sale-a-Bration going on, so my poor blog has been neglected . . . sorry about that!  To make it up to you today, I have lots of photos to share of cards I created using the One Great Year Paper Pumpkin kit from December.  Looking forward to breaking into this month's kit at my Paper Pumpkin Power Hour tomorrow . . . if you are in the area, hope you'll come over for a fun morning of crafting (even if you didn't get a Paper Pumpkin kit this month).

I decided when I got the One Great Year kit that I didn't really need a calendar, but the pieces in the kit would make some gorgeous cards.  I ended up dividing the backgrounds for each month in half, then layering them onto either Crumb Cake or Whisper White thick card stock or another color coordinating with the kit colors (Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Blackberry Bliss, which I also used to create layers), and embellishing.  For a couple pieces, I initially tried to start with 4 x 4" and 2 x 4" pieces, but didn't like how the squares looked, so cut those down.  Had I not done that, I think I could have gotten about 24 cards out of the kit.  I ended up with 22 -- not too bad!  Here they are:

Greetings are from the All Shook Up December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit, the Tin of Cards stamp set, the What I Love set from Sale-a-Bration, and Helping me Grow from the Occasions Catalog.  The last card also has a few Botanical Builders flowers.  And, the butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set, cut with the coordinating Bitty Butterfly Punch.  The hearts were cut with the Sweetheart Punch.

Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Party Samples

Tomorrow afternoon is my open-house style Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Party, and I have two fun make and takes for those who come!  Here they are:

The "Just for you" card is straight from page 5 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure (well, except I couldn't resist add some Gold Wink of Stella detailing in the flower centers and a couple other places, a little hard to see in the photo):

And, for this valentine card made with the Bloomin' Love stamp set, I drew inspiration from the layout of the Mother's Day card on page 36 of the Occasions Catalog:

There are some Gold Wink of Stella details on this one, too.   It really sparkles in person!

Hope to see you soon!  (You can find more details about my open house here).

SUper Friends New Product Play Date Projects

Hi, everyone!  Hope all is well for you!  I had a fun gathering with my SUper Friends demonstrator group yesterday.  We had voted on projects we most wanted to create from the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure, and ended up making three cards and one treat box from the Occasions Catalog and one card from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Here they all are (with apologies for the poor lighting in these photos . . . it's rainy here today, so couldn't take advantage of my favorite photo spot outside . . . ).  Here are all the finished projects:

And, here's a close up of the piggy treat box from page 44 of the Occasions Catalog (thanks to Margery for prepping this project and for designing and sharing the adorable hat and tail idea with us!):

Here's the Friend card, using the Bloomin' Love Bundle from page 16 of the Occasions Catalog:

The Happy Birthday card using the Number of Years set, from page 10 of the Occasions Catalog:

And, for some reason, I didn't manage to snap a close up of the front of the card (you can see it in the left background above), but this photo below at least lets you see the pop-up greeting inside the Happy Birthday card we made using the Party with Cake/Party Pop-Up Bundle from page 7 of the Occasions Catalog:

Then, perhaps my favorite card, is this card made with the Honeycomb Happiness and Perfect Pairings set, from page 10 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure:

That little chickie is just so fun to color!

Which are your favorite projects from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Brochure?

Thanks so much for visiting!
